AREAS OF MINISTRY

In addition to working with local churches and ministries in the East Texas area, we have several different areas of ministry involving, in particular, missions and children's ministry. For further details click on the heading of each of the following areas of our ministry.

"JOY WITH JESUS" SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

These are available for both churches and groups such as parents who home school.  They include interactive sessions where participants are involved in skits, bible games and other dynamic activities for teaching children the Bible, and teaching them how they can become involved in missions. We teach the seminars in either English or Spanish, and also have developed one in English by correspondence course via the Internet for contacts overseas.

For more information on children's ministry, dynamic ideas and photos, you can also check out the link to our web page "World Kids Outreach".

"WORLD KIDS PAL CLUB"

Each month we send out, via e-mail or regular mail, the World Kids PAL Page (available in English or Spanish), which shares fascinating information about a different country in each issue, a true testimony and puzzle, and encourages children to become involved in missions.  We also have a lot of exciting suggestions to encourage children  to become actively involved in missions, and learn more about the challenge of being a Christian in many foreign countries.

TRUE FREEDOM OUTREACH PRISON MINISTRY

This is a rapidly growing area of our ministry that has developed through writing letters to English speaking Christians who are imprisoned in Cairo, Egypt. These are men who are from different backgrounds, religions and countries, yet all ended up receiving long prison sentences in Egypt. Some were Christians and were sent to prison for serving Jesus, while others were imprisoned for "regular" crimes but later heard the Gospel and accepted Christ there in prison. We are involved in a number of ways including encouraging Christians to write to them and pray for them, sending them teaching materials and helping promote their beautiful beadwork to generate funds for them.

MISSION TRIPS

We plan short term mission trips as the Lord leads, especially to teach children's ministry seminars, and teach how people of all ages can become personally involved in missions. In 2002 Shirley taught a national seminar in Cuba, and in 2004 she ministered in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, and also visited England. At New Year 2006 we visited Egypt, where we met with inmates and ministry coworkers involved with the TFO prison ministry there. As 2006 moves along we are developing more contacts, especially in Africa, and so look forward to possible future visits there also.
