Ugandan ministries working with Mike
Rev. Patrick in Fort Portal
Rev. Patrick Muhumuza is the director of Christ Vision Ministries of Fort Portal in Western Uganda. He contacted us because of a desire to develop children's ministries in his area, although he is also involved with prison ministry and ministry to the sick and needy. Rev. Patrick helps coordinate the Area Revival Pastoral Forum, consisting of over 100 local pastors from various different Christian ministries. They work together and organize seminars, conferences and crusades for local believers. We were actually invited to speak in August 2008 at their 2nd annual conference, but arranged for our co-worker Mike Mwanikha, from Kenya, to speak in our place. You can learn more about Rev. Children's ministry seminars
On several occasions already, Mike has been able to share about children's ministry and even teach training seminars to groups of pastors and leaders from various parts of Uganda. This photo shows some seven churches meeeting together to learn of the importance of children's ministry - which is commonly completely overlooked even by most churches in that very poor country. Please pray for more believers there to recognize the need to train up children to follow Jesus from a young age.
