Special meetings
Pastor H. has held several meetings in the villages of the mountainous area of Orissa - to the delight of many of the children there! It is a very poor area, and there are great needs, but hearing the Gospel gives people of all ages new hope as they battle with meeting those daily needs.

New team working
Throughout 2008 Pastor H traveled around many tribal villages sharing the need and vision for children's ministry, and was amazed at the eagerness of many Christians to catch the vision and become involved! He has held several training seminars and developed a team that is now working in that area. A number of children's clubs have been established in different villages, and each is attended by many dozens of children. Sadly, persecution against Christians by radical Hindus continues to increase, with outbursts of violence where whole villages are burned to the ground and hundreds of Christians killed or injured as they flee to the jungle. As a result Pastor H often finds orphaned children with no-one to care for them, and he greatly desires to find a suitable location and regular support so that an orphanage can be opened there to help them.
