Promote the cause

The beautiful beadwork produced by most of the
Christian brothers imprisoned in Egypt, can be used to catch the attention of
friends and fellow churchgoers, and help promote the cause.
Beadwork

Each
beadwork item is individually handcrafted using exquisite glass bugle beads. The
smaller items (such as key rings, necklaces and pen covers) may take several
hours each to produce, but the beautiful evening purses, with lining and inside
pockets, take four or five days! The brothers there all work together now,
sharing their talents, and using the income derived from the sale of beadwork to
help supply their daily needs and put toward the payment of their fines, after
setting aside a portion for those who are unable to work due to illness or have
some special need.
We have several TFO partners
around the United States who have stocks of the beadwork and can help supply
orders and give ideas and help on using it to promote the ministry. We also send
brochures about the ministry that can be photocopied, small cards to include
with the beadwork to tell about the ministry, and can help with resources for
raffles, promotional events and church presentations.
Here
are some more photos showing some of the variety of beadwork items
available.

Devotional Journal
Some of the inmates also make hand decorated greetings cards
and have even painted oil canvases. One of our partners has recently published a
beautiful hardback journal which includes her poetry and examples of the artwork on the front and back covers.
These beautiful drawings were done by Tito Momen, one of the inmates we have helped in
Egypt, who recently was released and returned to Africa. The journal has hundreds of thick
parchment pages, with inspirational poems scattered throughout the book. It
makes a very special gift, while at the same time, helping to promote the cause
of these imprisoned brothers. A portion of the royalty from the book sales is
also given to Tito.

The
journal is entitled "Where Peace Was Waiting" by Joan Yvonne, and is
available from www.amazonbooks.com
